Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever (/'di:v@rborn on 21 December 1996) is an American actress. She gained recognition for her roles in the FX crime drama television show Justified (2011-2015), the sitcom ABC/Fox Last Man Standing (2011-2021) and the Netflix drama miniseries Unbelievable (2019) as well as the Hulu drama Dopesick (2021). She received Golden Globe Award nominations for Unbelievable and Dopesick as well as receiving a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Dopesick.Dever was a supporting character in numerous films, including Bad Teacher (2011), The Spectacular Now (2013), Short Term 12 (2013), Detroit (2017), Beautiful Boy (2018) and Dear Evan Hansen (2021). She had leading roles in the 2019 films Them that Follow as well as Booksmart.Dever was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to Tim and Kathy Dever. Mady Dever as well as Jane Dever are her younger sisters. She was five years old when she discovered an interest in performing arts. Her parents took her to an acting school. Before she was fascinated by acting she also participated in gymnastics, ballet and ice skating. After her family moved to Dallas her father was chosen to be Barney the Purple Dinosaur's voice.
