 Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter with a net worth of $90 million. Usain Bolt, at his best was the fastest athlete on earth and one of the highest-paid athletes, particularly during the Olympics. Usain made between $20 and $30 million per year in the lead-up up to the Olympics. He is the most highly-paid track and field athlete ever. It is possible to conclude that the majority of his income came from endorsementsand not prizes for competitions. His biggest paycheck was from the German shoe manufacturer Puma which gave Usain nine million dollars a year to wear their shoes all the time, on and off the track. Contracts with Visa, Nissan, and Gatorade resulted in Usain additional million dollars. In 2010 Bolt released a best selling autobiography which received an advance of a million dollars from the publisher Harper Collins. Usain also receives appearance fees ranging between $250,000 and as high as $500,000 for participation in track and field events throughout the world. During his Olympic career Usain was awarded eight gold medals. He holds several world records, including the 100 meter (9.58 seconds) and the 200 meters (19.19).
