Lucy Verasamy, born 2 August 1980 was an analyst for British weather analyst for ITV Weather and ITV Racing. She attended Silfield Primary School, Framlingham College Junior School in Suffolk as well as King Edward VII School, King's Lynn. There she also took A-level geography. She earned the BSc (Hons) degree in geography at Brunel University in 2001.After graduation, Verasamy trained and worked as a meteorologist for the Press Association's weather center (Later changed to Meteogroup - Europe's Largest private weather service) creating global and national weather forecasts for TV, radio and newspapers. After completing a work experience placement at the Sky Weather Centre before becoming a weather forecaster Verasamy became a part of Sky and was appointed the regular weather host on the Sky News breakfast show Sunrise. Sky News launched a Climate Clinic with the Ask Lucy feature in 2007 as part its Green Britain campaign.
