Ayn Rand was a renowned Russianwriter, a well-known Russian American novelist, philosopher, screenwriter and Conservative/ Libertarian political activist who most famously wrote The Fountainhead (1943) and Atlas Shrugged (1957). Her birth date was 2 February 1905 in Saint Petersburg, Russian, into a wealthy Jewish family. Ayn Rand, originally Alissa Zinovna Rosenbaum. Her most famous accomplishment is her work as a novelist. Her philosophical method, Objectivism, is also well-known. Rand was born in New York City and died on March 6, 1982. She attended Stoiunina Gymnasium, where she began writing at the age of eight. Though her parents tried to shield the girls from the political turmoil that was forming in the midst of that moment, Alisa gradually developed her personal views and advocated for the republican system over the monarchy of the constitution. Rand aged nine years old, decided to pursue a career as an author, especially inspired by Victor Hugo's books. Therefore, during the time of the "February Revolution" began to rage in Saint Petersburg in 1917, the twelve-year-old Alisa preferred Alexander Kerensky over Tsar Nicholas II. Their family's life was affected when the 'October revolution" started later in the year. After the Bolsheviks seized the power, her father's business was confiscated and they had to flee to Crimea in order to start life afresh.
