Thomas Lee Bass (born October 3 1962) is an American musician and founding member of the heavy metal group Motley Crue. Lee is the drummer for a long time for the band . He also founded Methods of Mayhem, a hip-hop metal band. He has also pursued solo projects. In the latter part of the 1970s, Suite 19 was a frequent performance at the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, along with other emerging acts like Quiet Riot and Van Halen. He met Nikki Sixx, the bassist of Sister and London. Sixx was forming a theatrical band that drew heavily from Sister's fusion of occult images along with a dramatic heavy metal show and became a fan of Lee's drumming.
