Shemar Moore

 Shemar Franklin Moore (born on April 20, 1970) is an American actor. His notable roles include Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless (1994-2005), Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds (2005-2016) and the leading part of Hondo on S.W.A.T. All of this was on CBS. Moore was the third host for Soul Train, from 1999 to 2003.Moore has been awarded eight NAACP Image Awards as well as the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series for his work on The Young and the Restless. He was nominated for an award called a People's Choice Award in 2016 for his work on Criminal Minds.Moore was born in Oakland, California, the son of Marilyn Wilson, a business consultant and Sherrod Moore. Moore was the father of an African-American and a French-Canadian mother. He went to Santa Clara University as a pitcher and outfielder for four years. He holds an undergraduate degree in communications , with a minor in Theater Arts.
