American actor Shemar Franklin Moore was born April 20 1970. He is most well-known for his performances as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005), Derek Morgan (2005-2016) and Hondo on S.W.A.T. (2017-present) All of which air on CBS. From 1999 to 2003 Moore was the third permanent host on Soul Train. He also won the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor In a Drama Series. In the year 2016, Moore was nominated to the People's Choice Award for his role in Criminal Minds. He is the father of Marilyn Wilson (a business consultant) and Sherrod Moore. Moore's father was African-American and his mother, who was born in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, was of Irish and French-Canadian descent.scholarship to go to Santa Clara University where he played in varsity baseball as a pitcher and an outfielder throughout his four years. Moore holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications , with a concentration in Theater Arts.
