Mick Jagger

Sir Michael Philip Jagger, born 26 July 1943 is an English singer/songwriter. He is best known for his role as the lead singer and founder of the rock group The Rolling Stones. His collaboration with Keith Richards remains one of the most successful collaborations in music history. Jagger's career spans over six decades and he is widely regarded as being one of the most admired and influential frontmen in the history of rock music. His distinctive voice and energetic live performances, along with Richards guitar style are the Rolling Stones' trademark throughout the band's career. Jagger's use of illicit drugs and romantic relationships gained the band a lot of press attention. He was also portrayed as a figure of the counterculture. Jagger was born in Dartford. He was a student at the London School of Economics before abandoning his studies in order to join the Rolling Stones. Jagger composed the majority of the Rolling Stones' songs together with Richards, and continues to work together musically. Jagger was a star in Performance (1970) as in Ned Kelly (1970) to mixed reviews.
