Kelly Clarkson

 Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24 1982) is an American artist, singer, author, and television presenter. She rose to fame following her win in the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002, which led to her signing a recording contract with RCA. "A Moment Like This" was her first single was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was the country's most-sold single in 2002. It was featured on her debut album, Thankful (2003), that debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. Clarkson decided to reinvent herself and left Idol management to concentrate on pop rock for Breakaway (2004). It was accompanied by four US top ten singles - including the album's title song, "Since U Been Gone", "Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "Because of You" - Breakaway sold more than 12 million copies worldwide and earned two Grammy Awards.Clarkson was also in charge of the creative process on the third album of her studio, My December (2007) and co-wrote all songs and also serving as executive producer. However, her label was dissatisfied with the album's more mellow rock and promoted it reluctantly.
