Heidi Klum, pronounced ['haIdi] 'klUm; was born on June 1st 1973. She is a model from Germany and a TV producer. In 1998, she was featured on the cover Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. It was also the first German model to be a Victoria's Secret Angel. Klum is a host on television, producer, and businesswoman. In 2008, Klum received an Emmy nomination and won the Outstanding Host Award for the Reality or Reality Competition Program in 2013. Klum has been recognized six times for Emmy Awards. She has served as model for spokesmodels for Dannon and H&M and has been featured in numerous commercials featuring McDonald's, Volkswagen and others. In 2009, Klum became Barbie's official ambassador for Barbie's 50th birthday. Klum was a few times an actress and had parts in films including Blow Dry (2001) and Ella Enchanted (2004).
