George Strait

 George Harvey Strait Sr. (born May 18th, 1952) is a famous American country music artist as well as songwriter, actor and music producer. Strait is often called the "King of Country", and is well-known as a singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer from the United American. The first single he released, "Unwound," was released in 1981. It was the start of the mainstream rise of the neotraditional genre. In the 1980s, seven albums from Strait topped the charts for country music. In the 2000s, Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, selected into the Country Music Hall of Fame and was awarded his first Grammy award for the album Troubadour. Strait was named CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989 in 1990, and again in 2013, and ACM Entertainer of the Year in both 1990 and 2014. Strait has been nominated to many more CMA and ACM awards and has earned more wins in both categories than any other artist.
