Elton John

 Sir Elton Hercules John CH, CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, 25 March 1947) was an English singer, pianist and composer. The most popular nickname is the "Rocket Man" due to his 1972 smash single with the same name, John has led a highly successful commercial career as an artist on his own from the 1970s onward and has released 31 albums since 1969. John collaborates with Bernie Taupin, lyricist, since the year 1967. He is well-respected by musicians and critics alike particularly for his work in the 1970s as well as his contribution to the music industry. John's musical style and showmanship has been a major influence on pop music. One of the most popular collaborations in songwriting history is John's with Taupin. John was born in Pinner, London. He learned piano early on and later formed the blues group Bluesology (in 1962). John quit Bluesology in the year 1967, and started his own career. He met Taupin after they responded to an advertisement seeking songwriters. They wrote songs for various artists in the span of two years.
