Crystal Bernard

 Crystal Lynn Bernard (born September 30, 1961) is an American singer-songwriter and actress, popular for her role as Helen Chappel-Hackett from the sitcom Wings (1990-1997), Amy on It's a Living (1985-1989), and K.C. Born in Garland, Texas to Southern Baptists, Bernard was raised on Happy Days (1983-1984). Her father, preacher Jerry Wayne Bernard, traveled across the United States preaching and singing. Gaylon Bernard (nee Fussell), Bernard was her mother. She was an educator and teacher, but in the 80s she went on to become an artist and sculptor. Bernard began singing gospel songs with Robyn the actress. One of the songs that survived those years is "The Monkey Song" that was a hit song from Feudin' Furssin'' and Frettin'. It was recorded by Crystal when she was eighteen years old. As a child in Houston Texas, Bernard studied acting at Alley Theatre. She was a graduate of Spring High School, and she continued her studies at Baylor University where she studied acting and international relations.
