Bernard John Taupin, CBE (born 22 Mai 1950) is a popular English singer, songwriter and visual artist. The long-term songwriting collaboration and collaboration with Elton John is his most significant achievement. Taupin wrote the lyrics to most of John's hits. In 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John also responded to the same ad and the two have worked on several albums together.
