Wonder Woman, a superhero film that was released in the year 2017, is based on the DC Comics hero of the same name. Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Films, Atlas Entertainment and Cruel and Unusual Films, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the fourth film of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and a prequel/spin-off to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Patty Jenkins directed the film and Allan Heinberg wrote the story. The script was written by Zack Snyder, Jason Fuchs and Heinberg. Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as the lead role. In addition, Robin Wright and Danny Huston are also in the lineup. Connie Nielsen and Connie Nielsen are also involved. It's the second live action theatrical film starring Wonder Woman following her debut in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. In Wonder Woman, the Amazon princess Diana sets out to stop World War I, believing the war was started by the longtime enemy of the Amazons Ares who is killed when American pilot and spy Steve Trevor crash-lands on their island Themyscira and informs her of it. Ivan Reitman was the producer and director of the live-action Wonder Woman movie. For many years, the project was in serious trouble.
