Pauley Perrette (born March 27 in 1969) is an American retired actress and singer. From 2003 to 2018, she played the role of Abby Sciuto on NCIS. Perrette has also appeared in film and television, mostly voice-overs and music videos. She worked as a bartender in New York City. While working at odd jobs in New York, she was approached by a close friend of an agency director. This led to her moving to Los Angeles, where she was a host of different parts and made numerous guest appearances. In season 4, she was a waitress at Cafe Nervosa. The actress also appeared in the season one episode. She has appeared in many films including Almost Famous and The Ring. In 2001, she appeared as the main character in Special Unit 2's season four episode "Three Dates and a Break-Up" and also guest-starred in the first season of 24. Her most memorable part was as Abby Sciuto (an eccentric forensic scientist) in NCIS, a TV series inspired by The Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
