American actor Mary Lucy Denise Henner. Her career began with Grease's first production in 1971 She was chosen to appear in Between the Lines in 1977 as Elaine O'Connor Nardo, a comedy-drama character. She earned five Golden Globe Award nominations for her performance in Taxi. She later had co-starring roles in films like Hammett (1982), The Man Who Loved Women (1983), Cannonball Run II (1984) as well as Johnny Dangerously (1984), Rustlers' Rhapsody (1985), Ladykillers (1988), L.A. Story (1991) and the film Noises Off (1992). After starring in CBS' Evening Shade (1990-1994), she returned to the television screen and was the main character in several TV-made movies. Henner, a University of Chicago student from Hyde Park, Chicago, originated the role of Marty in Grease's 1971 Kingston Mines production.
