American actress Elizabeth Berkley was born July 28th in 1974. She portrayed Jessie Spano in the television series Saved by the Bell and Nomi Malone/Polly Ann Costello on the 1995 Paul Verhoeven film Showgirls. She voiced the title role in the animated film Armitage III: Poly-Matrix and had supporting roles in the films The First Wives Club and Roger Dodger. She was praised for her performance in Hurlyburly in the theater. She auditioned for the role of lead in the movie Annie. After becoming attracted to the idea of working professionally in dance and began to travel to New York City to train with choreographers and dancers. She performed in a variety of ballets, including Swan Lake. In 1983 she also appeared in musicals.
