Celine Dion

 Celine Marie Claudette dion CC OQ was born on 30 March 1968. Dion is well-known for her powerful and technically competent voice. Dion is the best-selling Canadian artist and the most-sold French-language artist. Dion's music includes many styles, including pop, R&B and gospel music. Dion was born into a huge French-speaking family from Charlemagne in Quebec. In the 1980s, Dion became a star as a teenager, with several French-language albums. In 1982, she won the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival. She also was a contestant for Switzerland at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest. After she learned to speak English, she signed on to Epic Records in the United States. Dion's 1990 debut album in English, Unison, was her first. This led to her becoming the most popular pop artist throughout North America as well as other countries that speak English. The recordings she has released since then were mostly composed in English and French but she has sang in Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Japanese, and Chinese.
