Bernie Taupin

 Bernard John Taupin CBE (born 22 May 1950) is an English artist, songwriter, and artist. The most well-known of his talents is his long-running collaboration with musician Elton John, a songwriting collaboration that has been among the most successful in recent history. Taupin has written the lyrics for most of John's songs.In 1967, Taupin answered an advertisement in the newspaper New Musical Express placed by Liberty Records, a company that was seeking new writers. John also responded to the same advertisement , and they met and have collaborated on numerous albums over the years. Taupin and John were admitted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.Taupin was born at Flatters House, a farmhouse located between the town of Anwick and the town of Sleaford in the southern part of Lincolnshire, England, the son of Robert Taupin and Daphne, daughter of John Leonard Palchett "Poppy" Cort, an educated classics professor at the University of Cambridge. teacher and former rector at Sale, Greater Manchester (then was counted as being in Cheshire).
