American actor Amy Lou Adams was born on August 20 1974. Her comedic and dramatic roles her name has been recognized three times in annual lists of the highest-paid actresses. Her accolades include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her debut on film in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) in which she portrayed an support role. Her appearances on the screen included guest spots on the television industry and also played "mean girl" parts in low-budget feature films. She was first seen in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Could (2002). However she was laid off for a period of one year.
