Maya Moore

 Maya April Moore, born June 11, 1989 is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx. She is currently on sabbatical. In naming Moore their inaugural Performer of the Year in 2017, Sports Illustrated called Moore the greatest winner ever in women's basketball.In high school, Moore was the National Gatorade Player of the Year as well as the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year, as well as a McDonald's All-American. She played forward for the UConn women's basketball team. They had back-to-back national championships in 2010 and 2009. After having led Connecticut to win a national championship undefeated, she received the John Wooden prize in 2009. In the following year, Moore led Connecticut to its second straight national championship and continued its overall undefeated streak to 78; in the season of 2010-2011, she was the leader of the Huskies in extending the streak to an NCAA both-gender record (all divisions) of 90. Moore joined Air Jordan that season as the first female basketball player. Her win-loss record in America from high school was 497-78, in the year following her 2017 season.
