Barbara Eden

 Barbara Eden, born Barbara Jean Morehead on August 23, 1931 was an American performer and actress. She is best known for her performance as Jeannie in the film I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970). Other noteworthy parts include Roslyn Pierce, who played Elvis Presley in Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant (JG) Cathy Connors in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961) and a single widowed mom, Stella Johnson, in the film Harper Valley PTA (1978). In the wake of the success of the film, Eden returned to her character in the role of Stella Johnson in a two-season television series, Harper Valley PTA.Eden was born on the 23rd of August 1931 in Tucson, Arizona, to Alice Mary (nee Franklin) and Hubert Henry Morehead. She is an ancestor of Benjamin Franklin. (For many years the year she was born was believed to be 1934. After the divorce of her parents, she relocated with her mother to San Francisco. Her mother was married to Harrison Connor Huffman (a telephone lineman), and they had an infant daughter. Alice was a popular entertainer for her children with singing because they couldn't have the luxury of life during the Great Depression.
